At Adira Health & Wellness, we are committed to expanding our services to include a range of alternative therapies that complement our existing mental health and substance use disorder treatments.
At Adira Health & Wellness, we are committed to expanding our services to include a range of alternative therapies that complement our existing mental health and substance use disorder treatments. One of the key services we plan to offer in the near future is acupuncture. Acupuncture is an ancient Chinese practice that involves inserting thin needles into specific points on the body to promote healing and balance.
Research has shown that acupuncture can be effective in treating a variety of conditions, including chronic pain, anxiety, and addiction. By stimulating the body’s energy pathways, acupuncture helps to restore balance and promote the body’s natural healing processes. At Adira Health & Wellness, we believe that acupuncture can be a valuable addition to our treatment plans, offering clients a holistic approach to healing that addresses both the mind and body.
In addition to acupuncture, we also plan to offer Reiki and other energy-based therapies. Reiki is a Japanese practice that involves the transfer of energy from the practitioner to the client to promote healing and relaxation. Like acupuncture, Reiki is based on the idea that energy flows through the body, and that disruptions in this flow can lead to physical and emotional imbalances. By restoring the flow of energy, Reiki helps to reduce stress, promote relaxation, and support overall well-being.
Our goal is to provide a comprehensive range of services that address the whole person—mind, body, and spirit. By integrating alternative therapies like acupuncture and Reiki into our practice, we can offer clients additional tools for managing their mental health and supporting their recovery. We are excited to expand our services in this way and look forward to helping our clients achieve greater balance and wellness.
Somatic therapy is a body-centered approach to healing that focuses on the connection between the body and mind. At Adira Health & Wellness, we understand that trauma and stress are often stored in the body, and that traditional talk therapy may not always be enough to address these deeply held experiences. That’s why we are committed to expanding our services to include somatic therapies, which help clients release trauma and tension stored in the body.
At Adira Health & Wellness, we plan to offer a range of somatic therapies to complement our existing mental health services. These therapies will be particularly beneficial for individuals who have experienced trauma, as they provide a way to process and release trauma that is stored in the body. We believe that by addressing the physical aspects of trauma, we can help our clients achieve deeper and more lasting healing.
As part of our commitment to supporting individuals on their recovery journey, Adira Health & Wellness plans to offer access to Certified Recovery Support Workers (CRSW) in the near future. CRSWs are individuals who have lived experience with recovery and are trained to provide peer support, guidance, and encouragement to others who are in recovery.
Recovery can be a challenging and isolating experience, and having the support of someone who has been through it can make a significant difference. CRSWs offer a unique perspective and understanding that comes from their own experiences with addiction and recovery. They can provide practical advice, emotional support, and a sense of community that is essential for long-term recovery.
At Adira Health & Wellness, we believe that CRSWs play a vital role in the recovery process. They offer a level of empathy and understanding that is invaluable for individuals who are navigating the challenges of early recovery. We are excited to integrate CRSWs into our practice and to provide our clients with this additional layer of support.
Self-Help Meetings:
Community and peer support are essential components of the recovery process, and at Adira Health & Wellness, we plan to offer a range of self-help meetings to support our clients. These meetings will include traditional 12-step programs like Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) and Narcotics Anonymous (NA), as well as other recovery-focused groups that cater to different needs and preferences.
Self-help meetings provide a space for individuals to share their experiences, receive support, and connect with others who are on a similar journey. These meetings are based on the principles of mutual aid and shared experience, and they offer a sense of community that is crucial for long-term recovery. Whether you are new to recovery or have been on the journey for some time, self-help meetings can provide the support and encouragement needed to stay on track.
At Adira Health & Wellness, we are committed to creating a supportive and inclusive environment where individuals can connect, share, and grow. Our self-help meetings will be open to all, and we encourage our clients to take advantage of these resources as part of their recovery journey.
